day-29-date

Keeping watch on the date is a very big deal for all of us. It’s such a big deal that schools teach date of events in history in special history class.

The background in today’s image is a greek calendar. It’s quite different from the calendars we use today.

So, for fun, today, I would like to share this date in history with you.

1760 George III of England crowned.
1954 President Eisenhower conducts the first televised Cabinet meeting.
1962 In South Africa, civil rights activist Nelson Mandela is sentenced to 5 years in prison.

What date(s) in history do you keep track of? I know birthdays and anniversaries are common. Is there something else? Comment and let me know.
